Welcome to Double V Stockdogs!
Double V is a small farm run by Dave and Trudy Viklund. The Double V name was derived by combining both of our family names- Viklund and VanDine… thus Double V.

We raise sheep and cattle and have a few horses. Our dogs are used to help us manage our stock, Dave owns and uses Australian Kelpies and Trudy has Australian Shepherds.
Dave and Trudy combine years of dog training and livestock handing to make a great team of stockdog trainers. Our own dogs are raised and trained by us, they live, work and trial at our sides. Our dogs our crucial to the smooth running of our livestock business. The dogs help us daily to sort, move and handle the stock in a minimal stress manner. Without our dogs, we would suffer higher predation loss, higher feed costs, and simple tasks would take much longer.
We have enjoyed training and working with our own dogs so much, and found our working dogs so essential to our farm, that we have branched out to help other people enjoy what we have found to be such a wonderful partnership. We strive to show farmers, ranchers and trialers how valuable a working dog can be and we work to improve the teamwork between current working dogs and their handlers.
